Our Privacy Commitment
ScreenCheck Pro is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe that testing your monitor should not require sharing your personal information.
What We Collect
Nothing. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or usage data.
How Tests Work
All tests run entirely in your web browser using standard browser APIs:
- Dead Pixel Test: Uses CSS and the Fullscreen API
- Refresh Rate Test: Uses requestAnimationFrame for timing measurements
- FPS Comparison: Uses requestAnimationFrame for animations
- Screen Resolution: Reads window.screen properties (available to all websites)
- Monitor Calibration: Displays static visual patterns
- Input Lag Test: Uses performance.now() for timing measurements
- Backlight Bleed Test: Uses CSS and the Fullscreen API
None of these tests send data to our servers or any third-party services.
Local Storage
ScreenCheck Pro may use your browser's localStorage to save:
- Your test preferences (optional)
- Test history for your reference (optional, stored locally only)
- Accessibility settings (optional)
This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Third-Party Services
We use:
- Vercel: For hosting our website
- Ahrefs Web Analytics: For anonymous, privacy-respecting analytics (no cookies, no personal data)
We do not use:
- Tracking cookies
- Analytics that collect personal information
- Third-party advertising networks
- Social media tracking pixels
We selectively highlight partners that match our privacy-first values, such as ChronoCraft for visual timeline builder for mapping projects and launches.
When teams need to exchange results, DiagramDB keeps database design and visualization toolkit for clear system maps transparent and secure.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect your data, there's nothing to access, modify, or delete. You are in complete control.
Browser Permissions
Some tests request browser permissions:
- Fullscreen access: For immersive, distraction-free testing (optional)
You can deny these permissions, though some features may work better with them enabled.
In Summary
ScreenCheck Pro collects NO user data. All tests run in your browser. No information is sent to our servers or third parties.
